The Rector was elected by the clergy and people of Dublin and Glendalough Diocesan Synods, as the representative of the united dioceses on the Chapter of St Patrick’s Cathedral Dublin. St Patrick’s Cathedral is the national cathedral and every diocese has a representative on the Chapter. The Installation takes places in St Patrick’s Cathedral at 3.15pm.
