Every Friday morning, during term time, the pupils and staff of Booterstown National School gather in St Philip and St James’ Church at 8.50 for assembly. This is a time for the whole school community, including parents and guardians, to come together for worship and to celebrate various events in the life of the school. During worship, there may be a story, a short drama or a poem, followed by prayers and a hymn. Anyone who has a birthday during the week, goes to the front of the church, and we sing Happy Birthday to them, and pray the birthday prayer. Announcements are made, and any achievements are acknowledged and applauded.

Assembly ends by 9.10 approximately and the pupils and staff head off to class.

Parish Lunch

Stillorgan Park Hotel at 12.30

Having had two very enjoyable parish lunches in 2014, we are having another parish lunch in January 2015 in the Stillorgan Park Hotel.

This is a purely social events for our two parishes to get together and spend some time in each other’s company. No one has to cook, set-up, tidy-up or clean-up!

June Burgess at 01-2888887 and Vi Wilson at 01-2888782 are taking names.
Please contact either of them before Tuesday 6th January 2015, as we will need to know the numbers going to the lunch at that stage.
