Service Sheet:

Eleven years ago, we held our first Daffodil Service on 22nd March 2015.  Prior to that, the parishes had had a Daffodil Coffee Morning on a Saturday towards the end of March, in the homes of various parishioners.  However, it was no longer feasible to do so and we decided that we would move the Daffodil Coffee Morning to St Philip and St James’ Parish Centre to the fourth Sunday of March when we had a united service in St Philip and St James’ Church and that the united service on the fourth Sunday of March would become a Daffodil Service.  Every family is affected in some way be cancer and at the united service tomorrow morning at 10.30, we will pray for all who are affected by cancer, either themselves or through someone else.  We will pray for those who work in oncology services and in research and we pray for the Irish Cancer Society and other agencies which support people with cancer, and we will remember those who have died from cancer.

The collection will be in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

The Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8.30 in St Thomas’ Church

All are welcome at any of our services.

Daffodil Coffee Morning and Bring-and-Buy
After the 10.30 service tomorrow morning, there will be a Daffodil Coffee Morning and a Bring-and-Buy in St Philip and St James’ Parish Hall, and there will also be a stall with merchandise from the Irish Cancer Society.
