Am I losing my marbles or is it the menopause??
Building on the initiative of the Church of Ireland on mental health and wellbeing Mind Matters, there is an open evening on Thursday 16th October 2025 at 7.30pm in St Philip and St James’, to start a discussion on peri-menopause and menopause. This is for women and men (who need to understand what is going on for the women in their lives and work-place). Whilst this subject is now beginning to be talked about, some aspects of it, such as brain fog, emotional and mental well-being, mood swings, etc are still hidden and silent. All are welcome. It would be helpful to know for catering purposes, if you are coming, so do let us know on booterstownandmountmerrion@gmail.com. However, if you find yourself free on the night and want to come, please do, even if you haven’t let us know beforehand.
The speakers are Dr Nicola Cochrane (Doctor in the Complex Menopause Clinic in the National Maternity Hospital and Board Member of the Menopause Society of Ireland); Ms Eabhann O’Connor (Consultant Urologist in St Vincent’s University Hospital); Helene Fitzpatrick (Pharmacist in Booterstown Pharmacy and Mount Merrion Pharmacy).
