In our group of parishes, we have a Healer Prayer Group, who pray each day for those who have asked for prayer either for themselves or someone else.
When a fifth Sunday occurs in a month, we often have a Service of Wholeness and Healing in each of our churches. We pray for healing in its many forms and contexts, from healing for individuals to healing for nations…
At a particular time in the service, those who wish to may come forward to the communion rails to ask for the laying-on-of-hands for themselves or for some else. It is not compulsory and there is no pressure to do so; some people prefer to remain in their pews and to pray.
