During the months of July and August we have two services (instead of three) in our group of parishes.
For the month of August, we have an 8.30 Service of Holy Communion in St Philip and St James’ Church and service at 10.30 in St Thomas’ Church.
Please note that there are no 10.00 or 11.30 services during July and August.
We will be welcoming Carol Chris de Wilde and her son Riley Brian de Wilde, into the worldwide family of the church.
Also, we will remember the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War 1 on 4th August 1914 and we pray will for peace…
Between our three parishes – St Philip and St James’ Church Booterstown; Christ Church Carysfort; St Thomas’ Church Mount Merrion – we lost 42 young people as a result of World War 1… terrible devastation and loss for those families.
Over the next number of years – some died from the injuries some time after the end of the war – on the Sunday closest to the 100th anniversary of their death, we will be remembering those who died.
