Good Friday - Prayer at the Cross
St Thomas’ Church, Mount Merrion Co. Dublin

We will gather each evening in Holy Week and during the day on Wednesday and Good Friday as we hear again the story of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, the preparation for the Passover, his betrayal by Judas, his celebration of the Passover with the disciples which became The Last Supper, and of his crucifixion and death.

This is the most intense week of the Christian year, and it is the culmination of Jesus’ life and ministry whilst he was physically on earth.

This afternoon, we gather for the final hour of Jesus’ time on the cross.  We focus on the final hours before his death, and are reminded of what he went through for us.

I encourage you to take some time this week to be a part of that story, that journey.
