Date/Time Event Description
10/09/2023
8:30 am - 9:00 am
NB NO 8.30 Holy Communion Service
St Thomas’ Church, Mount Merrion Co. Dublin

Unfortunately, there is no 8.30 Service of Holy Communion this morning as the Rector is unwell.  Thank you to Uta Raab, Diocesan Lay Reader, and former parishioner, who is taking the 9.30 and 11.00 services (Morning Prayer) this morning.

This is a short service of Holy Communion. There is no music at it but many like it because it is a smaller congregation and therefore more intimate. We will continue to administer Holy Communion using the individual cups and little wooden blocks. We ask that people would sanitise their hands on entering the churches. The seating plans will no longer be in place but we ask that people would use all the space in both churches and respect that some people may need more space than others in order to feel comfortable. Whilst mask wearing is no longer mandated, people may feel more comfortable wearing a mask and especially for singing, which we really appreciate being able to do again.

This is a short informal service designed to cater for our young people (and not so young people!) who play sport or who do other activities on a Sunday morning.  It is followed by sausages and potato wedges in the Parish Centre afterwards!  Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or whether you play sport or not!!!
